About Attorney Charles E Williams

Attorney Charles E. Williams has over 40 years’ experience in private law practice. He has handled cases in most areas of the law and concentrates his practice in estate planning with wills and trusts, probate, trust terminations, guardianships and real estate. He is a third-generation attorney in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, where his great uncle and grandfather began a law practice in 1895.

 

Charles is a graduate of University of Colorado at Boulder (B.A. History) and received his law degree (Juris Doctor) from the University of Wisconsin Law School in Madison. 

 

He is a member of the Elder Law section of the Wisconsin Bar, founding member of the Winnebagoland Estate Planning Council, and Wisconsin Forum of Estate Planning Attorneys. He is also past President of the Wisconsin Council of Estate Planning Attorneys and has been a member of the National Network of Estate Planning Attorneys and Wealth Counsel.

He serves on the boards of the Wisconsin Trust for Historic Preservation, Inc. and Winnebago County Historical & Archaeological Society.


He is also licensed as a Wisconsin Real Estate Broker.

 

He served as plaintiffs' attorney in a personal injury/wrongful death/products liability/premises liability case published in the Wisconsin Law Journal (Feb. 2004) entitled "Top Settlement For 2003."

 

He has three sons and enjoys boating, skiing, travel, history, architecture, family and coached his son’s basketball team for 5 years.

 

He believes estate planning is one of the most important things a person can do for themselves and their loved ones.
